Job Description:

At Duluth Travel, our experience, dedication to providing outstanding customer service, and innovative technologies have enabled us to become a trusted travel management company servicing Government Agencies, Contractors, and the private sector. We’re searching for a highly qualified Project Manager to ensure Duluth Travel meets all requirements for Government and other travel programs, with an immediate focus on GSA’s ETS Next program (E-gov Travel and Expense Next Generation solution). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the travel industry (particularly in the Government sector) with a proven track record of attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with all levels of stakeholders. The Project Manager will also prepare and present updates regularly to senior management.

Objectives of this role:

• Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, cost estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
• Establish and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver projects or programs with a medium to high complexity, which is measured by the scale and scope of the request.
• Plan projects according to the defined scope and confirm all necessary resources are assigned.
• Facilitate effective and constant communication with all project participants.
• Keep the project sponsor(s) and stakeholders informed about the status of the project.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with necessary internal resources and third-parties, including vendors and researchers.
• Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
• Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
• Manage any risks and provide visibility to stakeholders and requesters throughout the lifecycle of a project, including prompt and appropriate escalation of issues.
• Be responsible for the utilization of established and proven project management methodology, tools, and processes.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Three or more years of project management experience.
• Five or more years in the travel industry, preferably with a TMC or GDS.
• Minimum three years focus on the Government Travel Sector.
• ETS 2 experience very helpful.
• Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under the stress of meeting deadlines, to work independently in the absence of supervision, and to facilitate and resolve risks, issues, and show-stoppers.
• Previous exposure to Project Management software.
• Proven success working with all levels of management and other key stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
